Why isn't my SCORM package working?

You may face issues with your SCORM packages from time-to-time.


Here are some things to watch out for:

  • Make sure the SCORM package is exported in SCORM 1.2 format (and not SCORM 2004 or xAPI/TinCan format)
  • 2) Make sure the software you are using to generate your SCORM package is generating a ZIP file and that you are uploading the ZIP file to SkyPrep.
  • If you are ZIPing the SCORM package manually, make sure the ZIP file has the imsmanifest.xml file at the root of the ZIP file. For example, if you open the ZIP file in a WinRAR or WinZIP (Windows) or Zipeg (Mac), make sure you can see that the imsmanifest.xml file is not inside another directory / folder in the ZIP file. If it is, your SCORM package is improperly packaged.



On Windows, we recommend you check your files with WinRAR or Winzip.
